COOLTOUR Guidebook Meets Youth Workers in Istanbul

On December 21, 2024, we hosted organized an engaging multiplier event organized by IKOS at the Üsküdar Science Center in Istanbul which brought 29 university students, youth workers, and COOLTOUR participants together to explore the tools and methods of the COOLTOUR Guidebook.

This interactive session introduced attendees to innovative approaches for integrating cultural heritage into youth work. Participants learned about experiential learning theories and styles, fostering an understanding of how to create inclusive and culturally enriching activities. The event also emphasized teamwork and collaboration through group exercises and reflective discussions.

A special highlight was the experience exchange, where five participants who had previously taken part in the Hackatour and Youth Exchange shared insights about the unique perspectives gained from working with diverse cultures across the four COOLTOUR partner countries. Their stories underscored the transformative impact of cultural heritage education in youth work and how it fosters creative and inclusive solutions.

The COOLTOUR Guidebook proved to be a valuable resource throughout the day, offering practical tools and methods that participants can adapt to their own educational and cultural initiatives. The event successfully demonstrated how cultural heritage can inspire new competencies in youth work, while also fostering cross-cultural understanding and connection.

You can reach to the COOLTOUR Guidebook in our Resources section to receive further theoretical inputs and practical tools and always submit a feedback for helping us to improve our work!
